I love this desk for my home office but need some help with bookcase ideas. I don’t like the matching ones.

Since you want want the matching piece, what about gold etagers?

Their idea:

Other ideas:

They make small side pieces, if you don't want something quite so large.

One Kings Lane - https://www.onekingslane.com/p/4763055-patria-5-tier-tag-re-gold.do
If you're looking for something with simpler lines?

I've wondered this too. I have a new desk being delivered tomorrow, and it has tons of storage/drawers, built-in AC and USB--very functional. When I was looking for desks, I was amazed at how many I saw that were just a flat surface with no storage, and many were intended to be oriented as a peninsula or in the middle of the room--where do you plug in all your stuff? You would have cables and cords running across the room, and it would look horrible to have the back of the monitor facing so that you see that and the cord.

What don’t you like about the matching etagere? Do you not like the style or do you not like being so matched? My first thought was the Ballard one the other poster noted

By not putting horse statues and wedding bouquets on them, for starters.
