| Every time I turn on my computer, I am seeing ads about the Montgomery County ballot measures. Who cares enough about Questions A and B to fund these? Is it unions? |
|
Are you kidding? These questions are massively consequential. So much so that former Republican congresswoman Connie Morella is campaigning against B.

Yes, that is why I want to know who is spending their money... get it? |
If you read the article, you can find the names of the people leading the campaign. Here's the campaign website: https://votenoonbandd.com/ You want a list of contributors? |
Lol Isiah Leggett. I would do the exact opposite of what he recommends, he had a big part of putting Moco in its current terrible economic position. |
Ah the same argument you've posted on the other threads about this issue. Boring. |
Did you not notice that, among others, he’s joined by Connie Morelia and David Blair? Even most Republicans view Robin Ficker as non-mainstream (the kindest way I could think to put that). |
If a republican is against it, I’m for it. I have no idea what it’s even about, but I’m going to vote for it. |
Unless you are a troll... A very MODERATE republican is against it, and the Democratic Party is against it. The Trump Republicans are for it. |
I mean you've got Republicans for it and against it, so you might have to learn what it's about to make a decision. |
| So either no one has a theory or no one cares?? I think knowing the funders helps illuminate how we should vote. |
Kind of a troll post, because people fund ads that benefit them, by way either higher tax revenue (Question A/B) or preserving the heavy Silver Spring influence on the council (Question C/D). You can just click on the ads to find the people behind them. The county council/exec made it clear they put Questions A and C on there as poison pills to counter B and D. It's quite sneaky how they made them A and C even though they were added later since people tend to vote for the first choice if they are not knowledgeable on the issue. |
