I’ve given up on 2020-21... what are y’all’s predictions for the next school year? |
Normal |
Hybrid at best for the fall, hopefully normal for the spring. |
Define normal, this is our new normal. |
+1 |
OP - We are moving to a remote area with low Covid cases. Buying a home so can stay indefinitely. Just wondering when we would come back. |
I predict in-person school. We might still be wearing masks. |
Depends on vaccine penetration.
Will 20% of the US have taken it or 60%? |
And how effective it is. Also depends on election result. |
Define “normal”.
I don’t think it will be back to what it was before Covid. I think some element of remote learning will persist. |
It would be better that we all get Covid than that THIS be the new normal. Increased poverty, worse education, no education for special needs, mental health down the drain. I hate tot hunk Trump was right about anything, but the remedy is becoming worse than the disease. |
When the elites (white collar jobs) start feeling the economic effects of this, like the rest of the country, no disease will seem like such a big deal. |
Yup, this. |
I do not believe we will be fully through phase three for vaccine deployment by fall (that’s when school children and other non health care workers and non high risk individuals can get it). I would imagine we begin fall 2021 with hybrid in person plans, which allows for in person schooling at lower capacity with the six foot spacing in classrooms. |
^ I hope I am wrong. |
