I'm in my early thirties and need to start taking better care of ny skin. I've started using the Clarisonic brush for cleansing but want to follow that up with a good facial moisturizer and eye cream. I have the proverbial combination skin and I'd love a cream that would lighten/erase some of the marks on my face from zits I picked at (bad girl, I know). Any ideas?
Recent articles that show that lightening creams are dangerous to overall health. You are only going to get the desired results from either medical grade or prescription products. I would see the dermatologist for a suggested skincare routine for fast, efficient results.
For eye cream I like Kiss My Face Eye Brightening Cream.
I use Revale system w/ coffee berry that dermatologists sell and I really love it. I'm sure there are going to be lots of people who disagree w/ me, but I really think there's a difference btw the drug store (L'Oreal/Revlon) type brands and the more expensive higher end stuff (sold at dept stores & by dermatologists). You get what you pay for.

I have used some REALLY expensive stuff, but am very happy with Aveeno right now.
If you are looking to lighten scars, you should speak to a GOOD dermatologist so you do not hurt your skin. |
I also use Revale and love it. It is medical grade, not cosmetic. It's claim to fame is the anti-oxidant properties. My derm swears by it.
If you want to erase or lighten dark marks, try Obaji. Ask your derm whether it would help. It's about $500 but removes most dark marks. Really leaves your face like a baby's.
