Anyone doing kids haircuts outside?

Looking for a hair salon or barber that is doing haircuts outside and takes kids. We don't have outdoor space (live in an apartment) so we'd have to go somewhere for the service. Any recommendations?

Going indoors is very safe now. Everyone is in masks and they limit customers.

I found a place in College Park - called Bananas Salon. One staff member there is doing outside cuts.

I mean, that lowers the odds. But it’s still not safe, let alone very safe. If someone in that room is Covid positive, you’ll most likely get it if you’re sitting in there for an hour unless you are wearing an N95 and goggles.

Ha! I thought this was going to be about moms giving their kids haircuts in the backyard! I’ve been doing this all summer.

Kids haircuts don’t take an hour. And everyone except your barber is spaced out.

I'd say it's less of a risk than taking your kid to the doctor or dentist, both of which are recommended and are largely happening with no word of outbreaks.

I am taking my kids less frequently, we've been maybe twice this year as opposed to every 6 weeks like usual, but I do feel safe doing so as needed.

However, I think the kid's haircut market is going to tank. Too many people realized how easy it was to handle themselves after a few youtube vidoes!

OP, rather than trying to find a salon, you should try to get contact information for an individual hair stylist, and pay them directly to come over. I am certain someone will do so for you. Don't call the salon direct though, you need to figure out someone personal info.

I gave my kid a home haircut back in April and was very impressed with myself... until it started to grow out a bit and you could really tell what a crappy job I did. Was more than happy to take him back for a professional cut a few weeks ago!

We are doing as much as we can outside. Going to dentist and dr. for routine stuff but if we can make something safer and avoid being indoors with people we are. We normally vote in person but this year we are voting by mail. We normally have friends over/go inside friends' houses but this year we are doing backyard hangs. We normally get haircuts inside but have found a safe alternative outside (I'm the poster that recommended the place in College Park). I agree getting a haircut isn't a huge risk but if it can be done outside just as well we are doing it outside.
