Does anyone else have a kid who looks nothing like their parents or grandparents?

We’re mixed race couple and one child has my looks to a tee (Asian) and the other looks exactly like DH’s mom (Caucasian).

Mixed race as well. Each parent got one child as their look-alike. Makes for a lot of stupid looks from people. Some are even so bold to ask if the kids have the same biological parents.

one looks nothing like us or our family. other favors dad's family. Personality wise I see a mix of our families in the one that looks nothing like while the paternal look alike has a personality I don't recognize (think a long line of socially awkward dweebs on both sides and a social butterfly who attracts people to him)

They are their own people.

I wish we could see pictures because I bet the kids that "look nothing like anyone in the family" actually do, it's just not obvious to someone too close.

They probably look like a relative looked when they were younger, or a long deceased relative. I "don't look like anyone in my family" but I do look like my grandmother, who died years before I was born.

We are both blue eyed blinds of Eastern European descent and our daughter has dark hair and eyes. Otherwise she kind of resembles her paternal grandma, but it is a bit odd!

I look exactly like my long deceased great grandmother. I saw a picture of her in her 90s and that's exactly what I'll look like in my 90s.

One kid is a clone of my husband. The other is a female clone of my dad. Strangely, she looks more like him than I do (people say I look more like my mother).

Yes, our first child looks like me but is darker than me and his dad, his 2 sisters and his grandparents (we are AA). He is now at the age where he points it out. His great grandma was brown and it is the same situation with my moms siblings, one of her brothers is much darker than everyone. Shoot my husband has questioned, and may still wonder, if he is even his. I told him go ahead and take a paternity test. I have nothing to hide.
