| I grind my teeth at night and a custom mouth guard has helped immensely. Problem is, my insurance has changed and doesn't cover mouth guards anymore, which means having a new one made would cost me like $500 out of pocket - and I need a new one, because I've chewed through my current one in a few places! I'm hoping I can get similar results using one of the versions I can get at CVS (or wherever)... looking for recommendations, thanks in advance! |
| curious about the answers... DH has the same issue but not willing to visit the dentist for that. |
| Would you be able to get a discount if you went to a dental school? |

I paid for mine out of pocket. I figured it saves me a lot of money by preventing damage to my teeth.
I'd ask your dentist and hygienist what they think of the drugstore mouth guards and by honest with them that you can't afford the $500 custom one. |
