License Name Change

Before I get flamed for not googling, I've tried extensively. I've also tried calling and emailing with no response...
I have the DC Real ID but got married over the summer. I see that the DMV is operating on an appointment only basis, and that the soonest appointments are at the end of March. I have my new social security card but would like to get my license name changed bc I'm due with a baby in December (not a huge deal, but a hassle I'd like to get out of the way beforehand if possible). Do I really need to go to the DMV in person just to change my name? I know it's not exactly getting a duplicate, but it is just changing one word, I'm not changing my address or anything. Anybody BTDT with name changing in COVID/appointment only times? |
