| The commits for the 2022 class is crazy. So many early commits with the dead period til January 1. |
| The dead period doesn't prohibit commitments. What is the best source for this information. I was on Back of the Cage and was surprised to see very few local players committed. It was like 4 from Capital, 1 from Cardinal, and 1 from ME Elite among the DI commits. Are there more? |

There are a number of places on the interwebs and social networks that are tracking this stuff. Many of the main lacrosse websites and google are your friend....
(DC Urban moms is not a main lacrosse website) |
| There are many players committed that are not on this list. You make the assumption a player knows they need to submit their name or the coach. There are some schools on here with one player that have six commits. FACTS |
| Its better to look on the clubs IG page. |
The IL page is updated ever couple of days. |
| It's smart for both collleges and student players to wait given uncertainty about not only college sports programs, but the colleges themselves. |
| Are there still spots left at top schools- Division 1? Are most of the top program players committed? |
| Sure there are some spots at top DI schools and there will be some movement on the fall when some kids decommitt to a program/school they believe is a better fit. Also all the November games will be a time to impress the coaches too. |
| Ivies are delaying "offers" a bit due to covid which has a bunch of kids in waiting patterns. |
Harvard and Yale already have some commits in the Baltimore area. |
Sorry that’s for women’s lax. |

“ The Tigers expect large rosters for a few years and have compensated with a smaller recruiting class from the high school class of 2022. They will prioritize building back up with high school recruits the following year.”
Decisions like this will clearly vary from school to school, but the trend in the current numbers on the boys and girls side is clear: Overall smaller recruiting classes, and that means fewer spots. Combined with virtual recruiting, many schools are reaching their target class sizes quicker than ever before. https://www.uslaxmagazine.com/college/men/division-i-lacrosse-coaches-dealing-with-larger-rosters-tighter-budgets |

smaller recruiting classes and the dead period are continuing to cause heartburn and stress for the 21 and 22 classes...I'd expect this s-show to affect 23's and 24's even before starting to smooth out.
NCAA really flubbed this, awful call on their part. Congrats to the lax bros who get to continue to stay in college....lots of people go to school for 7 years Richard...ya, they're called doctors. |
