Anyone had a neg preg test and still been pregnant

My period is nearly two weeks late now. I am never late and I have the same symptoms I had with my first child. We recently moved and the soonest I can get a doctor's appt is for Feb 25th. Anyone never received a positive from home test. I don't know what to think at this point.

you can run to the public health clinic and get one done, try another label.. i've heard of false negatives but never false positives..

When I started taking tests, they all came up negative. However, I am currently holding my 2.5 month old!

to 16:45, how long did it take to come up positive?

I'm 8 weeks along now. When I first started taking the test they were coming back negative the week before my period was due and up to 3 days after I missed my period. I think it's because I ovulate relatively late in my cycle so the pregnancy hormone took a while to show up in my urine. I also had PMS-like cramps during that time so I was sure I wasn't pregnant but I definitely was and am!

count me in. False negative, last time about 10 days after my period was late. But maybe because the tests were not top-notch (not the most expensive ones, that is) and not done in the morning. DH finally insisted on the blood test and boy, was I surprised.

I took two tests - both negatives. It was because I wasn't ovulating regularly... so although I took the test 4 weeks and then 5 weeks after my last period, I had probably just conceived at that time or shortly before. By the time I took another test (which was positive) and went to the doctor's I was 12 weeks pregnant!

Yeah, it wasn't really a false negative for me though. I apparently ovulated much later than usual, so while I tested at the right time (when period was expected), I was actually about a week off. Later tests were positive.

i had two false negative HPT and a negative blood test!!! I now have a 3 yr old...hope things work out for you!

A negative blood test! Never heard of this before...unless maybe done on the day of the expected period?

I thought I had a negative HPT, turned out I just wasn't watching it for long enough (the second line was ridiculously faint). I got a positive using a digital test though.

I would call your ob and ask if you could drop in and take a 2-3 blood tests a few days apart before you see the doctor on the 25th. The 25th may be too early to see something on an ultrasound and the numbers from the tests will indicate if it is a normal pregnancy.

usually tests are pretty reliable. it could be that you had an anovulatory cycle and that is why you are later than you expected. if you do have doubts though - a blood test should answer your questions.
