suggest that you look at the Washingtonian and City Paper annual reader surveys. I love my colorist/stylist, but it is so hard to get an appointment that I don't want to share and make it harder for myself.
I would also recommend not going too many shades lighter than your natural color, as that might be part of what is giving you unsatisfactory results. A good stylist will help get the right shade, if you are willing to listen. good luck! |

I can't believe I'm offering this info at the risk of making it harder to get an appointment...
I'm recommending my guy because he is great with blondes. Ismail (Ish-my-el) at Salon George at the four seasons. |
I know I am not talking color, but he cut my hair once and I wasn't impressed. |
Funny, I have him trim my hair a few times a year and i've never been impressed with his cuts. He's a genius with color, and styling/blowouts (he did my hair for my wedding) but cuts aren't his thing. Luckily I have long curly hair so a great cut isn't really critical for me, but I'm thinking about going to a different salon for a cut. |
| Go to Gloria Interyano. She rents the space above Moda salon on M st (a block wet of 4 seasons) and is a whizz with color. I have been a client of her s for 15 years, and no one will make your hair look more natural. Don't bother for cut or style though and head's up her color is $$. 202 333-3455 |
| Serkan at Hair Lounge in upper Georgetown--he is extraordinary. |
| I really like Salvatore at ILO. |
