using frozen donor eggs?

My friend is using donor eggs and the donor she likes the best has frozen eggs --I don't know much about this, but it seems to be that it would lower her chances of success --is this right?

From what I've heard, that is correct. I think "fresh" cycles, yield the best success rates. That being said, vitrification (a new way of freezing eggs...well not that new, but new to a lot of area clinics) is resulting in higher rates of successful defrosting--which I guess is one of the barriers to using frozen eggs: the eggs do not make it through the "thaw" process.
