Any recommendation on which of the dozens of tubs to buy?? Has anyone tried either the Fisher-Price Aquarium or Primo's EuroBath?
Thx! |
I've worked with thousands of children and this is the most simple and the best bath cradle I've ever seen/used!!! It dries in minutes, you just need to stand it against the sink/tub. You can use it in the sink so no kneeling/bending to bathe the baby. You don't need to fill up the tub/sink to use it so you can bathe the baby before the cord falls off. It holds the baby in place with no harness so no strapping and missing spots and you have both hands free to wash the baby quickly in case you have a water hater. It holds the baby in a comfy position in case you have a water lover. I had babies falling asleep in it while I bathed them!!! I just loooooooove it!!!! |
| ^^ LOL PP here, forgot to mention, it's a Safety 1st bath cradle. |
| We started with the tummy tub, which DC loved but outgrew very quickly. 6 months in we bought the primo euro tub and DD loves it. I would recommend getting this one as it can be used from birth to toddler. It is big but we keep it in our bath. |

We have this one -- the Summer Infant Bath Support -- and so far, at 4 weeks, I really like it. It's cushy and DS seems comfy in it. It can be laid flat or propped up, and fits in the sink now that his cord has fallen off. We opted not to get an actual tub since our house is very small and there was no where to put it.
One thing I will mention is that it does take a little while to dry. It hangs easily, so it's not a problem, but it means I can't put it away right away. |
| I love the eurobath. She's 11 months and will still get months of use out of it! |
we just use our sink
|
| For those who use the euro bath... all the other tubs look like they have some cushion for the back of the baby's head.. isn't that a concern since the euro bath doesn't? I love how snug it looks but that's a big concern.. Thanks.. |
| We also just use our sink. If you buy a bath, you'll use it for like 3 months and then have to find someplace to store it along with all the other infant stuff you used for 3 months. |
| Definitely see if you can borrow one - as everyone says you only use it for a couple months though it's handy for that time. |
| Get the Whale of a Tub! It's perfect for newborns and older babies alike, since it has a removable divider that prevents younger babies from going into the deep end. Awesome bathtub. |
| primo eurobath isTHE BEST! |
We did, too. Just had some old towels we laid on the bottom. When she got bigger, we got the blue, one-piece tub from Ikea to put in our regular tub. We love it and are still using it (at 2 years old). |

We have the Primo Eurobath, but I think it's too big (it's just not a good fit for my bathroom).
For newborns, I prefer this: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2574102 or this: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3159597Then progress to this: For bigger babies who couldn't sit up, I liked this because you could place it crossways (across the tub) for a better reach: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2403667 Once they could sit, this was my all time favorite: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3417460 |
| Also a big fan of the mesh seat in the pic. Can be used in the sink or tub. We put it in a rubbermaid box so we didn't have to fill the whole tub. |
