I made mine.
Bought the right shape of pinata, and some appropriately colored tissue paper, and repapered it. |

You can make these from scratch if you are a little crafty.
Start with a balloon. Blow it up. Tear a bunch of newspaper into 1" wide strips. Dip each strip into Elmer's glue, squeeze off the excess with your fingers, and drape it on the balloon. Cover the whole balloon, except for a 2" hole around the balloon tie. Set aside and let it dry. Then pop the balloon and pull it out. Use more newspaper & glue, then colored tissue paper, to make your final shape. Fill with candy, then use a final few strips of newspaper and glue to seal over the hole. |
