PPs don't like the guy because he says stupid things, his players don't listen to him, he plays very bad players together until there's a 4-0 deficit and then he half plays his good players. Nobody respects this guy. The parents have conveyed this to AB but guess what, they just hired him full time. LOL. Lots of GA2 players waiting in the wings to take over along with the new influx of Brave players. Some of which were already shed by FCV in the past. Just wait until they get into the GA and get hammered because they haven't had any real competition. That's what destroyed the Brave organization.

This post also is demonstrably false. If you look at the rankings app for his 3 teams, you can see that 4-0 deficits are not common. For his 2010s, 4-0 leads are more common. That also doesn’t tell me whether he’s a good or bad coach, but it does tell me that someone is just making stuff up. Would be awesome if someone who actually knows the guy could shed some light.

DR on paper really seems like a person that's doing what he can to push himself into becoming a great coach. Nobody will be able to truly tell how or what he will accomplish because that can only be figured out over time. Just with any profession, there's the education side and then the real world hands on side.

Give him some time.

Are you DR’s mom or wife?

You are quoting his resume from George Mason where he was fired from? He does need some time to grow out of those diapers he's in. He's a nice guy but he sure is strange and the players don't care for him. That's all that's necessary. BTW: His coaching decisions have no logic or strategy. That's a recipe for failure. Seeing him making the selections for the teams is even more frightening.

He wasn't fired. Surely having MP as the previous coach helped him land a role there, but GMU having a new incoming HC is what drove him out. He continued there even after GMU parted ways with MP early in their season last fall. Only after AB was announced is when he was out, which makes sense, new coaches want their people in place and DR wasn't one of them.

So he was fired.

I mean I guess you could call it that. I'd say MP was fired for sure. But I'd say DR was just let go because of new incoming coaches. If DR was terminated at the same time as MP then I'd agree he was fired.

It does happen at companies where you leave on good terms and I'd be inclined to think that was the case.

If DR is so bad as a coach, why did GMU retain him after firing MP?

Gotcha....probably just semantics at this point, but I think everyone understands he was asked to leave versus him resigning (and it really doesn't matter honestly).

It would be great if someone posted something that did matter.

Anonymous wrote:At last night’s parent meetings, AB introduced a sports psychologist who will be involved with the club next season. How this will work wasn’t exactly clear, but it’s a good idea in concept and the guy was impressive. Originally from UK who previously was an FCV and Loudoun coach as well as a Loudoun director. My question is whether he is the Loudoun coach PPs have said is coming to FCV, or is there someone else coming in a coaching role?

That's the same thing that VRSC presented to parents, this is basically a pissing match between the two clubs IMO. How does FCV integrate a sports psychologist? Is it necessary and what does that add to the club fees?

Rumor has it the new sports psychologist model is for the parents. Sounds like our money finally well invested, let’s be honest.

Sounds like the parent of some salty PP who thinks their kid is better than they are.

Barca was fumbled because CC………he gave full control of the boys to Barca who showed that they weren’t able to actually run a club/ program.

Interesting that CC didn’t give Barca access to the girls side

Maybe I need to take that back. I forget that Americans list draws after losses.

Some of the club names they play are not even recognizable.
