Wut? Word salad extraordinaire... DP |
DP. We all knew they would lose and Democrats would once again sweep the SB. It's what liberals do. They "vote blue no matter who," and then spend the next four years b*tching and moaning. The very definition of insanity. |
Projection. Why would Ds complain about holding the GA? |
You know this thread is about the School Board, right? And the comment above is also about the SB? And this entire forum is about FCPS? No one is discussing the GA here. |
Sorry. Was probably replying to various election threads. I’ll correct: why would Ds complain about holding the SB? We all know who will be complaining (again) and not offering up any solutions (again). Not the Ds! |
There are PLENTY of Ds who are - and have been - vocally upset about the SB and their various time-wasting efforts (laser focused on "equity," renaming schools, etc.). But apparently Ds will always vote for Democrats, no matter how disgusted they might be with the results, or lack thereof. The solutions offered by the R candidates were simply to STOP focusing on social issues and to START focusing - heavily - on improving academics for all kids. Oh well. Looks like we're in for another four years of Ds complaining about the Ds that they stupidly elected, again. |
Not that many Ds I know IRL have been complaining. Zero non-crazy Ds. And many Ds would certainly consider a reasonable R candidate. Next time, try to run one of those. |
The DCUM Republicans are going to be complaining for the next four years. The school board could cure cancer and they'd still complain. |
+1 They’re already complaining. Blaming the D voters because the Rs ran crappy candidates. ![]() |
It was perfectly clear. And “wut?” Are you 12? |
I don't know any Dems who complain or think that the schools aren't focusing on academics. In a complex enterprise like education, everyone is going to have some differences of opinions about how things are run, but I generally believe FCPS does a good job--and is more effective than many other school systems. Furthermore there is zero evidence that the Republican candidates had any capacity to improve the schools--or even much understanding of what being on the School Board entails. I also thought they lacked good judgment as individuals. I read everyone's statements, their responses to questions etc. Not a decent candidate among them. The clearest evidence of how Republicans run education is the current state of VA Department of Education and besides not aligning with my worldview it's been terrible on just the basics: bungled standards revisions filled with mistakes, inordinate delays in processing teacher licenses, slow releases of data and then tons of data errors, hare-brained things like parent complaint lines that are promoted with fanfare during the election and then quietly closed down, ridiculous demands like the schools find intensive tutors in a five week time period during the school year etc. Just a general ham-fisted posturing about improving education and then a lack of ability to even enact basic smooth running of operations. |
Oh, Karl. Go to bed already. |
As if Ds would ever vote for an R, regardless. Good one! ![]() |
Well Ds voted for at least one this time (Kyle McDaniel). They’ve voted for them in the past and will again in the future if you can scrape up anyone who’s normal. |
Sorry that two sentences is too much for you. |
