Compact & fun indoor play set

Anonymous
DH finally approves me to get a compact indoor play set for our 20 months & 5 year old to play indoor. It is a small carpeted finished basement with not that tall ceiling. Because of the age gap, I cannot find one that can accommodate both kid needs. It has to be either foldable or does not take much space, room to grow for 5 year old, but fun & safe. I can only get one big item, and I cannot buy 2 separate ones. We don’t have fenced backyard, otherwise I would want to setup a huge play set on the backyard.

20 months old has never been on a playground, so anything is good to him. 5 year old wants a slide and something that he can exercise like climbing. The problem is many little plastic playset age limit is 4 or 5 years old, so that is why it is difficult for me to shop. Any suggestions?

Max age limit is 4 or 5 years old

Get two things. A decent playset will work for your younger child for a while. Get an over-the-door bar or mini trampoline for your 5yo.

Pikler Triangle?

^^ looks nice but has a 50 pound weight limit per feature. How much does your 5 year old weigh?

Just looked at the play gym. Get the biggest gym. It has a 70lb weight limit per feature, 120 pounds total.

Op here. That was on my maybe list because I am worried 5 year old may not find it too much fun & challenging. He is 43 inch & 37 lbs.
I am looking at this one ( the bigger one set) but I don’t think this suits my 20 months old. And, I am still cannot figure out if I can fold them against to the wall or do I have to unscrew them to take them apart everytime they are done playing.

The larger one is screwed to the wall but you fold it up against the wall. Do you don't have to unscrew it each time unless you can't dedicate that area to the play space.

You probably want to add in a second pickler triangle and slide for your 20 month old. Or a pickler rocker as they should be able t handle climbing the slide portion. You goals are a bit unrealistic for that age gap so you will need to adapt.

We got the panda (smaller one) when my kids were 18mo and 3.5. A year later they both mostly like climbing up and sitting on the top. The slide is mostly for cars, not kids. And we regularly cover the whole thing with blankets and turn it in to a fort
