NCSL Coaches and Team Administrators,
We are well underway with our NCSL season and wanted to take a moment to welcome you back to the field! This has certinaly been a challenging time in our area, and we thank you for your help in creating a safe environment for coaches, players, and spectators. Going forward, we will continue to rely on your help to set the example for your team and to remind your players and parents about the NCSL Return to Play Guidelines. We need to do all we can to keep players on the field enjoying the sport they love! We wanted to point your attention to a few key areas that will go a long way in helping us play a full season: Coach/Player Mask Wearing | Please make sure you and your players wear masks during field entry and exit and while on the sidelines. Spectator Mask Wearing/Distance | Please make sure your parents understand that they ALL must wear masks on the sideline and must maintain social distance. Facility Entry/Exit | When arriving at the facility, please wait until the participants from the previous game exit the field area before entering. Coaches and team admins must keep their team together and not allow individual players and parents to come onto the field area. Also, teams should leave the field quickly after their games end; there should be no post-game talks or lingering on the field. **Please note that not all facilities allow spectators and may have limits on the number of people allowed to gather. We thank you for your understanding and patience with protocols. If you have any questions, please contact your NCSL Club Representative. Thanks again! Have a fun and safe rest of the season. Sincerely, NCSL Staff |
| Um, what? Reminders to be safe are subliminal messages they are going to cancel? |
| Huh? I think the subliminal message is -- FOLLOW THE RULES. That is all. |
+1. Very easy to understand. There were no subliminal messages. The OP was grasping for something that is not there. |
| baseball has had leagues shut down because parents ignored rule- NCSL doesn't want that to happen and is reminding people and you think that means they want to close? |
| Not subliminal message at all- but a 2nd wave has been predicted for months now. Following the rules will help with mitigation. |

+1
I think the emphasis on playing the full season is because other leagues in other sports had to shut down due to community spread. They don't want this to happen both because i's' bad for society and bad for their league so they are appealing to parents in the way they know - in their selfish desire to see their kids keep playing. |
