Describe your weekly social life day by day?

DH thinks I'm super social. I feel like a hermit. I am curious to hear how often others hang out with friends (safely) these days and under what circumstances.

Our day looks the same every day - kids play outside, we supervise, parents stand around and talk. On the weekends we might invite someone over for a meal but it’s rare. I’m so bored, lol!

Pre-COVID?

Outside of seeing people from work it looks like:

Casual chatting with neighbors once a week, if that. Visit parents or in-laws once a week, I see a friend about twice a month.

I am averaging a coffee or a lunch once a week. Always outside.

The fact that you're asking about weekly socialization blows my mind. Expand it out to monthly and I might be able to contribute 1-2 social activities. Unless smiling and waving at a neighbor as we pass each other walking our dogs counts as a social life?

Outside of immediate family, we do a socially distanced outdoor hang with another family maybe 2-3 weekends a month. I have a weekly video chat happy hour with friends. And then I text with a couple of close friends regularly.

Pre-covid, we'd hang out with another family probably most weekends, and I might go out for drinks or coffee with a friend a couple times a month.

But we have a small child and I'm exhausted all the time. I don't have much interest in socializing more than I do.

Really? Do you work long hours or have something demanding a lot of time?

Not unnecessarily exposing myself?

So you don't socially distance with friends, masked, six feet apart?

These days? We do Zoom calls after work and/or after the kids go to sleep. Yesterday I spent 45 minutes on the phone with an elderly aunt in the hospital.

Once every two weeks MAX we will meet up with one family that has quarantined for the two weeks prior to our meet-up (as we have), at an uncrowded park, for lunch and talking. We sit at separate tables. Everyone wears masks except when eating, including the kids and excluding the under 2's. We're together a max of 2 hours.

I talk to a family member once a month; a friend once a month too. Talk to a neighbor about once a week. Haven't gone out to do anything with anyone other than family since March.

No. Friends refuse to mask, family members also refuse to keep mask on and insist on eating.

I walk with 2 friends once a week each.

I see my neighbor once a week for dinner/drinks.

I see somebody else once or 2x a month... we have gone to a vineyard, thrown axes, brunch, dinner, etc

I traveled to visit my college roommate in September.

I went to the beach in June and I hung out with friends for 3 days.

I did not see anybody during March and April and part of May (except my 1 neighbor we were covid partners).
