Question on early in person voting - Virginia

Anonymous
I can’t seem to find this answer online. I requested an absentee ballot. However, I’m now thinking I want to vote early in person. Do I need to do anything to reduce confusion, if they currently think I’m going to absentee vote? If anyone has a link, that would be very helpful. Thank you.

My absentee ballot says that if I decide to vote in person I should bring the unused absentee ballot with me and turn it in.

This is correct - you need to bring in your unused absentee ballot if you decide to vote in person, either early or on election day. (I'm an election officer and there are lots of rules around this.)
