Twice recently when I have clicked on a thread on my iphone this prompt has shown up (can’t swear that the first time it said exactly that filename, but the second time i thought to take a screenshot).

I think the first time I just closed out safari and the second time it went away after a little bit.

This most likely is a misconfigured advertisement. Obviously, don't download it. Over the years I have occasionally seen this sort of thing here, but have also seen them on other websites. I sometimes download them to investigate them and to the best of my knowledge, they have always been harmless. Nevertheless, best to avoid them. I'll see if I get this one on DCUM and, if so, see if I can stop it.

On my MacBook now and got one that was much longer -- like 20 random letters finishing oglesyndication.com or something

I've gotten them frequently over the past two days on my MacBook. This is the message I just got:

Do you want to allow downloads on “19dcf6a59e5296a6c440d052aa00e0b2.safeframe.googlesyndication.com”?

I saw this pop up just as I was closing a window earlier today. I am trying to replicate it and capture it. However, that is coming directly from Google so I am confident it is simply a misconfiguration someplace and nothing malicious.

As strange as it seems, that is an actual hostname for a server.

I just got it on eBay. It is coming from Google so it is probably all over the Internet.
