| Favorite breast pump? With my first I way over produced and had to rent a hospital grade. Need to pick one through my insurance and there are a lot of options! |
| Spectra S1 - closed system, lots of options, battery pack for portability. |
| I just switched from the PISA to a Spectra 2. If your insurance covers the Spectra 1, I'd go with that. |
| I had the Medela pump in style and liked it, but my job had hospital grade pumps that I used most often. Since I'll be working from home for the forseeable future, I'm going to try the Spectra becasue I've heard so many moms like it better. |
| Have the same question- insurance offers medela pump instyle or spectra- which one should I go with? |
| Spectra |
| Spectra is great. I'm getting the battery powered one this time around. |
| Spectra. I got a Willow for my second kid, but have still been primarily using my Spectra from DC1. I have the S2, but the S1 is totally worth the upgrade price to be chord free. |
How do you like the Willow? |
|
S1
I had the PISA for travel but the Spectra was the one i used at home. Here is my tip: I rented the hospital grade pump for a month to build up my supply before i transitioned to the Spectra. |
| My pump in style is awesome and my output is amazing with it. But it is loud. I mean LOUD. We have a shared pump space at work (dividers between people) and I cant hear the women who pump with a spectra. Everyone knew when I was pumping because you could hear it. Like making a phone call someone would totally know you are pumping with the Medela. But like I said - the output is great |
It’s fine. My output is about an ounce less than my Spectra. I haven’t gone back to work yet, so I’m nursing during the day and pumping at night when it’s fine to be tied to the wall, so I haven’t touched my Willow in months. I’m going back to work in a few weeks, and will be leaning more heavily on the Willow then, since I plan on pumping in the car. |
| Another vote for the Spectra S1 |
| Just ordered my S1 through insurance. Are there any recommended accessories? The S2s were all available in kits with lots of extra gear. Any suggestions for what else to have on hand? |
