My son grew like a foot in the last 6 months and needs new jeans. He hates shopping and with covid, our options are even more limited.
I usually get Old Navy jeans but they seem more kid/tween than teen and he's desperate to be more teen than boy! Any advice on where I can order teen jeans online? Are Old Navy jeans not teen friendly? |
| Boys that age do not wear jeans. |
What do they wear then? |
| Gap |

Jogger pants. Can be found at Gap, Target and all the sports wear makers such as Nike and Addidas. You may want to cross post on the Fashion forum. Those folks know everything about that: https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/forums/show/42.page

Geez, Karen Some do, some don’t Let the kid pick his own clothes No one is forcing you to give up Talbots |
| American Eagle. If your son is like mine was after his growth spurt and needs a smaller waist with long inseam, they’re great for that. |
...she said, oh so definitively, from the top of Mount Dumba**. |
| My 13 yo doesn’t wear jeans but he is not at all into fashion. (I wish he were—he wears only athletic pants and shorts, plus his school uniform when school is happening.) Stylish 13 yo boys wear jeans. Look at H&M. |
| My 13 y/o won’t wear jeans but I still buy them (from the Gap). |
NP. She’s basically right, though. Joggers are more the default than jeans from elementary to teens. Been that way for at least a few years. |
| Just had a bunch of success with Target. DS is fashionable but doesn't care about brand names. Just wants to look good. Got a few stretchy jeans and some track pants. Hope he won't grow for the rest of the fall-winter-spring!! |

OP here. Thanks for the replies, even the snarky ones.
American Eagle tip was great! The waist/inseam sizes are so much better than the generic 12, 14, 16. I was able to order a bunch or styles and lengths to see what he likes and what fits. They also had a great variety of joggers. Thanks!! |
| I assume joggers are some kind of athletic pants - what kind exactly? Or does that refer to any kind of athletic pants? |
Walk through a high school. You will see plenty of jeans, khakis, joggers, adidas athletic pants, even shorts year round. What you consider style for everyone, may not be style at every school or for every kid. |
