| Not officially, but just so I can see where she is at with reading? Is there something similar that I could test her on that gives a similar score? |
| Standardized tests are one of the perks of public schools. |
well I still pay taxes to support mcps. Mcps is also doing our homeschool review. |
| Setontesting has standardized testing as well as diagnostic. You can also contact most curriculum companies, and they have placement tests geared specifically to their curriculum. |

You must be new here. Welcome, and let’s stretch your perspective! https://responsiblehomeschooling.org/policy-issues/current-policy/assessment-intervention/ 24/50 states require some form of assessment. 8/24 require standardized tests, 10/24 allow parents to choose between standardized tests and portfolio review, 3/24 require tests some years and allow parents to choose the other years, MD requires portfolio review and 2/24 leave it up to district (I’m in MA, and it’s up to district here; we were given 5 choices, and we chose portfolio review for k, portfolio and test for 4th). |
| If you contact your neighborhood school that you are zoned for, your child can take the map there with them |
