| What do you think? It’s my maiden name and I’ve always considered it for a girl. Now I’m pregnant and it’s high on the list. We have a good Irish last name to go along with it, if that matters! |
| If it’s an actual name in your family, go for it. |

Jimmy Buffett named his daughter Delaney, circa 1999 and I think sparked its popularity. My DD is 14 and I can think of 5-6 girls with the name.
Double check SS site to gauge its popularity, but very cool that it's your name. |

There are two Delaneys in my 4yos daycare, if it matters.
I personally think this type of name is for the "Gather" set. Which is fine, if that's your thing. |
| Sounds like an Irish pub |
What does this mean? |

What is the Gather set?
It's not my fave name, but I know a lovely 6th grader named this. I love love love giving a child the mom's maiden name. She'd be like Beyonce!

The signs all over the house. Gather In This Family, we...forgive, etc. Thankful Live, Laugh, Love |
| Im the PP who hates everyone's choices. Delaney is fine. I don't care that it's your maiden name. It'd still be a good name even if it wasn't. |
| I gave my daughter my mom's maiden name -- Hudson. I love things like that. |
| It’s a great name and it’s great that it has meaning, too. Definitely do it! |
| Love it! Love the family connection. |
| I like that it’s your maiden name, but it’s unfortunate that it’s been co-signed by the tacky crowd. I don’t think I could do it. Might be slightly better if you officially named her something else, put Delaney in the middle and called her Delaney. That’s probably what I would do. |
Terrible name |
| Hudson = beautiful name! |
