Women: Would you marry a lawyer?

Anonymous
I ask because they seem to have a ton of debt and the average lawyer is working a lot for nothing.
Anonymous
No they all seem like a-holes. I feel similarly about doctors fwiw.
Anonymous
Yes but not a litigator. I don't want to argue every day of my life.

But no one has asked if women would accept certain careers.

Yes doctors, lawyers, and nurses have a spouse
They would marry them in a church
They would marry them in a house
They will marry a bum laying on a street
They will marry a person that dances with two feet
There are all types of marriages that exist across the land
And no one can predict if they will fall or always stand

Some. Not others.

No

No. Bad hours, argumentative, big egos, not that much money

No.

Nope. The type who lean towards law and make the big bucks in big law are the types who made you uncomfortable even when they were in HS and college with you.

I know some one who is a DC big law partner. I knew him 30 years ago. He is 1%. I am forever grateful that I ended up with my DH and not him. Emotionally he is devoid of any empathy. A cold soulless kind of person. Very nice on the surface.

Nope!

Litigators are not the only ones who argue. My life is becoming difficult with an economist.

I am currently dating a lawyer, and I will say it’s not easy. The way they twist things around until it’s unrecognizable is amazing.

Oh, I know we're not the only ones. But we do argue. I wouldn't want to have 2 in one marriage.

I’m a lawyer too, and yes. I married a self-employed carpenter and he has a major complex about my more “prestigious” career.
