| Hi, what are reasonable home daycare costs for a 12 month old in DC? My husband and I can’t seem to agree on what’s reasonable to pay and if we should stay where we are or move somewhere cheaper (or at least try). My daughter is getting good care and ratio is 1:2-3 kids depending on who is there on that day. |

Silver Spring is not DC- costs are WAY higher in DC. I don't think you'll get much cheaper than $1,900 for a 12 month old in DC- if you're talking NW DC at least. |

Especially if the ratio is like 2 or 3 kids per provider. That's basically a nannyshare ratio you're getting. |

I agree. If you like the providers and they are experienced, you are basically getting a nannyshare ratio for less than a nannyshare in NWDC. |
