2021 NMSF for DC

6 of the 28 from DC attend DCPS/PCS. To qualify in DC this year, you could not miss more than 2 questions on the October 2019 PSAT, maybe 3 if all misses were in math only. https://www.compassprep.com/national-merit-semifinalist-cutoffs/

Decent. Finally. Latin produces scholars. SWW's numbers are down from several years ago, when there were 5, but Wilson's are up and Ellington got one for a change.

You know that the schools aren't changing anything about how they teach, it's just about where the kids who test well (and have the resources for prep) choose to go, right?

Assuming that is true do you think it is possible that this is more about parenting, SES, and environment than about the schools they attend? Maybe?
