We had plans for one of my kids to attend something, and we had a really hard time getting out the door. Lots of arguing and then we were late. I ended up turning the car around and going home. Now everyone is in a bad mood and it's a beautiful day outside.
We haven't had a crappy day like this in a long, long time. How do I turn things around and salvage this day? |
Order a pizza and jut let everyone do what they want. |
+1 Everyone does their own thing for a while and regroup for family dinner. |
+1 This also happened to us and I forced us out a second time to try to make things better...didn't work. Stay home eat pizza chill. |
The pizza is a good idea. I also suggest an early evening walk around the neighborhood or to a nearby park, since part of the bummer of having this kind of collective meltdown on a nice day is missing out on outdoor time. Doing something outside that is super low key, after everyone chills out for a while, helps to salvage it a bit. |
What’s wrong with letting everyone have their mood? |
