Do parents ride scooter with kids together?

Anonymous
To encourage my 5 year old to learn to ride 2 wheeled scooter (too difficult for her), I decide to get her a 3 wheeled scooter, micro maxi one that can last till 9 years old. I am debating to get a 2 wheeled scooter for me to ride along to encourage her. She stays home all the time, and she needs to get out of house to do exercises. Do parents do that, or will I make a scene if I ride scooter along her? I have seen any adults ride scooter alone or along with the kids, and mostly they just walk while small kids are riding a scooter.

Any cheap adult 2 wheeled scooter recommendation for me? I am under 5 feet with 110 lbs.

My son in law rides an adult sized Razor scooter with the kids
It’s fun! I’ve tried it and the kids enjoyed having an adult ride along with them. Kids are 4 & 6

Awesome. Is it okay for adult not to wear helmet or should I wear one by law/to set good example? Kid will wear helmet for protection. We ride in neighborhood steet.

I’ve never seen it either. If you want to I think it’s fine. I don’t think you should have to though to get your 5 yo to ride.

I used to take my Razor to french class while living in Paris in 2004 in my 20s. Ooohhh those were the days. Yes, please wear a helmet!

Don't listen to the people telling you not to to ride with her, parents in my neighborhood ride with their younger kids all the time.

If she's an only child or her sibling is really young, then hell yes you can do this with her (especially since you're small enough to look like a kid yourself).

If this is going to be her only opportunity to get out and ride, definitely do it with her.

Razor makes great scooters for kids and smaller adults, you'd be fine on this one as it's good for people up to about 5'4".
Have fun!

I see parents ride with their kids all the time in my neighborhood! I’ve been thinking about getting one myself to ride with my kids. The adults don’t usually wear helmets (kids do) but you certainly could.

We bought an adult razor scooter so I could go with my kids. Scootering is surprisingly fun.

I do! I also hop on my kids Razor with them, when they ask me to go down a hill with them. It's awesome.

I do. FWIW, Micro also makes a three-wheeled adult scooter; it's what I use. https://www.microkickboard.com/kickboard-original-2-0

Get a helmet!

Definitely wear a helmet to set a good example! And also to keep yourself safe!
