Could you "unflip" a baby?

Anonymous
At 33 week appointment, baby was still transverse / head up. Dr. casually mentioned spinning babies as a can't hurt might help. I have been doing the forward inversion for the last few days. Never felt anything major. Woke up today and feel lighter. Like maybe baby has settled down lower / flipped. I would continue to do the forward inversion in case she has not flipped, but I don't want to unspin her if she is now in the right position.

Don't go back for another week to know for sure if she is head down.

Any ideas if I should keep doing it or stop in case she is head down?

The research on this is basically *shrug* I would take it easy now that baby is head down. Sometimes they flip back, but for the most part once they’re head down they stay there.

I tried a lot of things including acupuncture, yoga, etc. Nothing worked until I got had a version procedure at around 37 weeks. My belief is that all the things I did helped and the baby turned on the doctor's first try. Hang in there. I found those 5 or 6 weeks super stressful, including the procedure of course, but was so happy that I did it and that it worked and I had an easy delivery.

My baby flipped twice in a week at 38 weeks. It was VERY noticeable when he did it. All ended up well.
Good luck!

My first was breech, chose to try a breech version (hospital procedure to flip the baby into position). I do not recommend.
