My name is incorrect on my DC voter registration

Someone clearly fat-fingered my DC voter registration 4 years ago added an extra letter to my last name - think Palumbon rather than Palumbo. There doesn't appear to be a "correct" option for updating your registration but rather just a "name change" option. It's probably silly, but I'm nervous about stating that my reason for completing the form to update my voter registration is a name change, because that's not true. And I certainly don't want to fill out the absentee ballot with my incorrect name. I've been unable to reach anyone by phone. Do I have any other options?

Send an email so you can get a written response to your question from the DC Board of Elections?

Can you just re-register under your actual name?

You know it doesn’t matter, right? Dc is like 75% democratic. So, their 3 electoral votes will go to Biden.

At least one of the factors behind the results of the last presidential election was multiple people deciding for multiple reasons that "it doesn't matter". It really does. Individual votes add up. Whoever you plan to vote for, including down ballot candidates, your vote will count.

There are local elections that matter. DC Council, SBOE, heck even ANC
