What's your bag system?

Anonymous
I am trying to be more efficient. Currently, I have a gym bag and large work bag in which I carry personal items (wallet, keys, cell phone, etc) and a plethora of work papers, most of which cannot fit in any bag. (I am a lawyer and frequently work from home so I am constantly schlepping binders, drafts, cases, etc.).

How do you keep it together?

I take the metro to work so I have to be efficient with bag space.

I have gym clothes at work because I work out at lunch. Because I only walk and do strength training, I don't get drenched in sweat so don't shower after. I try to rotate clothes so I'm bringing only one piece home at a time to wash and take back (I never carry workout pants, top, bra, and socks, I split it). My office floor looks like a shoe closet - I wear sneakers in (or sandles/flip flops in summer) and keep my work shoes at work. Only a problem when I have to lug an extra pair home for a morning meeting that is out of the office.

I have to carry a book, blackberry, cell, wallet, keys, name badge, and I'm a grazer so I bring a lot of snacks/lunch. Oh, and I always have a small umbrella.
I have to sacrifice my water bottle. I keep that and a mug in my office so I don't have to schlep it back and forth. I also keep a hair brush at work and an extra pair of sneakers. Thank god I have my own office - I need a lot of space!

I can usually cram everything in just one bag if I plan ahead, but sometimes have to carry an extra insulated lunch bag for all my snacks! Every once in a while, I suck it up and bring in a big back pack if I know I will have a lot of stuff - but that is rare. I'm pretty good about not taking work home so that helps.

Glad my pumping days are over!!!
