| I've heard a rumor that some clubs in Montgomery County were fined for practicing or running camps this Summer duing the lockdown. Anyone heard anything about that? |
| I don't know about fines but I heard some got reprimanded. I don't know what that means formally. |
Why would they get fined for running camps? Camps were allowed in MoCo this summer. Our kids attended a soccer camp run by Brit-Am, they followed all the rules and regulations. |
exactly. |
There were capacity limits on some places and social distancing requirements. I've heard of one private training camp in which the police arrived and told everyone to leave the field (this was earlier, like in May/June) because they had too many kids doing full-contact drills. |
Okay, I see. I can probably guess which club! |
Ok guess then. What are you scared of. |
| Yes, one of the big clubs was fined $5k for not following protocol in Montgomery County. |
BSC |
Why do you care? |
+1 |
they didnt have camps in june. (or may for that matter) practices didnt even start up until around july 4th |
| I was told it was BSC and they had too many teams practicing at the same time in a small area. |
Which does not answer Ops question about practicing during lockdown. |
Because I want my kid to play and when dumbass coaches and clubs are failing to obey even the simplest of guidelines it makes it harder for all kids to play. |
