what comfort foods are you making while snowed in? what are you stocking up on?

I'm going shopping tomorrow morning (with a million of my closest friends, I suspect) and want to stock up on stuff to keep us comfy & cozy while we're snowed in this weekend. I'm definitely making a big pot of vegetable barley soup & thinking about some other things that my kids like. Hot cocoa & marshmallows are on the list too.

What are you planning to make/have in the house for the snowstorm?

I'm also thinking of barley mushroom soup. And maybe polenta with sausages and peppers. We have hot cocoa stuff, and chocolate chips, but I may pick up some baking chocolate for brownies. I have some yeast and enough flour for pizza crust/bread/ etc. I might get some zucchini for zucchini bread (have had enough pumpkin bread/muffins). Maybe popcorn kernels?

Considered making lasagna, wasn't up for it (I'll blame myself later). Instead, I am making my favorite artichoke crab dip. Also bought bread, soup, ice cream, frozen pizza, and BEER. Lots of beer. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!! PS-please don't bash me, but no kids to take care of. I don't make monkeys, I just train 'em.
