When I got pregnant my sister In NJ offered to give me her MamaRoo. Because of the Pandemic I wasn’t sure I would see her in time to receive it so I subsequently registered for the Bjorn bouncer. Unexpectedly DHs cousins banded together and sent us the Bjorn bouncer; it arrived today. My sister was able to visit and brought the MamaRoo 2 weeks ago so now we have both. Is this overkill or OK bc the bouncer works until age 2??

I think its worth having both, especially if you are borrowing.
We have the Mamaroo in the living room and move our borrowed bouncer around the house as needed - e.g. when taking a shower. Every baby is going to be different in what they like so options are nice! |
Worth it to have two. You can keep them in different rooms.
Some babies are picky. Mine is totally freaked out by the Mamaroo but loves the Bjorn. We got both second hand so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ No reason to not have both, you can always unload one if baby hates it.
Keep both for now and see if your baby likes them. I had a baby who hated the mamaroo and swing, but was happy in the boppy lounger and later the activity jumper. You can always donate or resell or pass along the equipment later on.
I had two bjorn bouncers and it was great. They may be light but it’s so nice not having to carry anything around besides the baby, especially up a staircase. One in the living room and one in our bedroom so I could bring the baby into the bathroom when showering.
All three kids have loved the Bjorn bouncer. We have two. They also fold flat and can be transported very easily. Would definitely keep it.
