Can you fail an inspection twice?
I failed and had 15days to remedy. I checked with dealer for part price. Then checked with inspector’s shop for price. The person I spoke to took a day off and never searched for part. Called inspector Shop again on a Monday and they actually searched and said needed more time. Next day called and said they were unable to locate a part and I’d have to go to dealer. Got live person at dealer after 2 days (left messages prior). Ordered part and scheduled me for service today. Open part and had wrong color (not their fault- they ordered right part number. It was listed incorrectly in the manufacturers system.) they searched and now need 7-10 days to get part from out of the country. I still have until tomorrow for my 15 days to toll. Can I get reinspected and fail again, buying me another 15 days? But at least the failed sticker will be current? I have the receipt from the dealer saying it will be another 7-10 days. But I’m concerned an officer stopping me might not care. This impacts the back of my interior of car so it’s safe to drive. Thanks. |

No, you have to actually get the car repaired in 15 days.
What part is on the inside and not safety-related that would cause you to fail inspection? |
| Put the wrong colored part in |
| Yes, you can go somewhere else. What is the part that caused you to fail? You should always go get a second inspection tobsee if they say the same thing. Lots of scamming going on with car inspections. |
