| What's your "communication rotation"? I'm genuinely curious. This isn't a fam question per se, but as my sisters and I have various thoughts on this, I'd love to know!! |
| depends on the firiend. About |
| It varies by friend. I have 3 very close friends. One is out of the country so I speak with her infrequently, unfortunately (before she moved out of the country we spoke almost daily). Another I speak with 1-4x a month. The third friend I speak with several times a week (we work together). |
|
I have 3 friends I text with almost every day. 1 on 1 with one of them, and then a group text with the other 2.
Other friends depends. Sometime between weekly and monthly. Why are you asking, op? |
| It was organic before COVID. Now, I have several groups who want to set up regular calls or video chats. It's damn annoying, because each group thinks they are THE group! and how could I possibly miss even one girl cousin chat/college friend chat/former shared house roommate chat/daycare moms chat/grad school chat. I dip in mad put and have learned to ignore the pressure. |

I text my best friend multiple times a day and we phone 2-4 times a week. A close-ish friend I text a couple times a week and we get together every couple of months. My work (some present, some former) friends I do HH with every few months.
I’m an introvert so this works for me. |
| Best friend as well as my sister every day. Two other closest friends probably close to every day. The rest here and there. |
| I have two friends from college I email or text with almost every day. I have a handful of HS friends on a group email that is active most days. Some days it's 10 emails. Other days it's 100. |
| I’ve pulled away from everyone except a handful of people. It’s just hard for me to connect right now. for the handful I’m connected to, we talk almost daily, sometimes weekly, usually through text and sometimes just sharing links and comments. And my other friends maybe every other month or so. |
| My rule is that I reach out to two people per day. Sometimes it's one friend and one family member, sometimes two friends, etc. |
