ISO - would you travel with a 7 month old baby who had only 1 dose of flu shots (seasonal and h1n1)?

Hi,

I was planning to go on a 3 day cruise with my kids at the end of this month, but I'm thinking about canceling it because of my 2nd child (7 months old) won't be able to have the 2nd dose until March. Any suggestion/comments?

Thanks

Thank you all for your comments. He got the 1st flu shots just this week. So, I will have to wait for 30 days for the 2nd dose according to the doctor's office.

I would go! h1n1 isn't even around that much at the moment, and although i'm sure it will come back, no one knows. I wouldn't plan around it and the vaccine doesn't guarantee not getting the virus. There have been a few kids I know who have gotten the shot (both of them) and gotten h1n1. It should work majority of the time, but it isn't a magic bullet, so I'd enjoy the cruise!

The issue is that it takes two weeks for antibody to be built after each dose.
