Do hospitals do covid testing when your water breaks?

Anonymous
Our hospital (not in DC area ) Covid tests every patient. It's the rapid one though that doesn't go as deep as the traditional one.

I've had the deep one about a dozen times now. It burns and stings a bit but it's not bad.

Epidural for the win.

It’s 2020. Get with the program shorty.

Yes, but then they will treat you like you have it. Probably won’t be allowed a support person. Will have to be in isolation and wear a mask the entire time.

Seriously? What a selfish action. No regard for the people risking their health to help you deliver your baby.

Uhm... How do you know OP is selfish? In other words, how do you she’s sick?

Yes of course. You can opt out, but then will give birth alone in an isolation unit. Baby will be removed for testing as well.

Please consider putting your child up for adoption.

Oh I really hope the responses aren't from OP. CPS should be involved. I'm going to guess drugs, alcohol, or an unfavorable living situation for a baby are in play here.

Why don't you call your OB? I realize you're likely a child yourself, but I assume you're getting prenatal care

Woah... that’s harsh. Like, extremely rude and disrespectful.
