TTC during Covid

Anonymous
Just curious if anyone is delaying TTC because of covid? I asked my obgyn if there are any guidelines about the risks and precautions to take, and they basically said the risks are not well known and would recommend postponing TTC for 3-4 months to see if there is a vaccine. Has anyone else gotten similar advice from their doctors?

We started trying this month. Spoke to OB prior and they just said great. If you get pregnant just act as if you're "vulnerable."

Just spoke to OBGYN on Monday. She says it’s fine to TTC especially if time is of the essence. Says that so far covid doesn’t have a negative effect on the fetus. Says that anecdotally, pregnant women who get covid seem to get more severe symptoms but the recovery rate is the same. Told me to be extra cautious with social distancing but otherwise gave us the ok.

I have not heard of any drs telling women to postpone TTC. My fertility clinic has been back up and running fully since beginning of June.

I've had two miscarriages since April, which I mention because I've talked to a lot of doctors about TTC recently. No one mentioned covid.
