Purchasing a new car through home delivery during quarantine?

Anonymous
We are thinking about buying a new car through home delivery and are wondering how it will all work. If you've experienced this, how did it work (e.g., paperwork, keys, test drive if any)? Any pitfalls to watch out for, or tips? We're looking at a Kia if it makes a difference.

Just go to the dealer. It’s fine.

I've purchased multiple cars over the internet/phone and had them delivered. Its not hard. Call, negotiate, sign paperwork, accept delivery.

I suppose if you want to test drive the vehicle that adds an extra step, but many dealers provide this service. I did not test drive my vehicles.

My best advice would be to not get a KIA.

Or you will be on here in a few yrs venting what a piece of junk it is.

Just bought a car, and even though the dealership website promised home delivery, you still had to come in and do the paperwork in their office. After all, that's where they squeeze you for warranties and extra bells and whistles. The home delivery only makes sense if you're not trading in a car.
