Can you walk in to a VA DMV?

I know VA DMVs reopened with appointments only. Has it changed?
I have a NY license that expired in May. I auto renewed online but it has my wrong address. We live in VA now. DH is former military so I kept my NY license but now we are permanent VA residents. |

Thanks. I was going to gather all my items to try to go at 8am tomorrow. I will just wait until my October appointment. I just want to be able to vote in November! |

| Wow, October is pretty good. It goes by location. In Alexandria today the first available appointments begin in November. I'm trying to cycle the kids through to get their Real IDs so I took a bunch of slots on November 4th and that was the first day open. |

Utility bill. Any state or federal ID. |

The deadline to register to vote in the November 3rd general election is 10/13/20 in VA.
If you want to guarantee you can vote in November it is worth registering to vote at your local office of elections. https://www.elections.virginia.gov/registration/ |

I have a VA electric bill in my name. Can I just take my passport or NY driver’s license? I renewed my NY license until 2028. I can’t change my address at the same time as renewal so my license will probably get mailed to my old address in NY. |

| They are checking you in before entering the building so if you don’t have an appointment I don’t think they can let you in. |
