I heard norwood's students mostly come from affluent famillies. we are very typical middle class family which can afford the tuition but are not those expensive country clubs members, no luxury cars. do you think we could fit in the community well?
thanks. |
We are in the same position, I would love to hear from others. |
bump, because we have same concerns.... |
would like to hear some comments from current and past Norwood family on this... thx. |
Yes, Norwood is a fit for any family who is interested in a wonderful educational experience for their children and in becoming involved in their children's school. We are a current Norwood family and are by no means "affluent." I don't know what you mean by middle class families. Are we able to pay tuition? Yes. Do we have a second home? No. Do we belong to a country club? No. Would I love a new car every year? Yes but I drive a 2002 car with 850,000 miles on it. Are we financially secure? Yes. Do we take a summer vacation? Yes. Do I clip coupons? Yes. Do I spend money without thinking about it? NO! To me, the money issue is really a question of good manners. There is not a tremendous amount of conspicuous consumption in terms of Norwood families- are there wealthy families? Sure, but most of them are not flaunting it. |
is this typical family in Norwood community? |

thanks alot for sharing the info...our economic situation might be not as good as yours - we might be able to afford the tuitation but will have to give up annual vacation. We would like our DD to receive excellent education but would rather not to let her feel uncomfortable in the school. do you think this will be the issue? do you know if kids in the school talk about all these issues? |
