best kids bug spray?

I'm looking online and there are just too many choices. Firsthand experience with a safe kids bug repellent would be greatly appreciated!

I like Buzz Away Extreme for babies and regular mosquitos in the back yard. For ticks or when we're in the woods, I like picardin if we need to put it on skin or DEET on clothes only. I grew up camping and was covered head to toe in DEET all summer and I shudder to think of how much exposure that was. DEET works and is better than Lyme Disease, but is not something to use carelessly.

Thats what we use too. It has worked for my 8 yo while she has been at day camp in the woods.
