| Now that we are at home all the time, I want to work on my yard. It is very rundown full of weeds. I don’t have a green thumb and it never bothered me until we were at home so much. Where do I start? Should I hire a landscaper? How much do they cost? |

Here’s a basic calendar of what to do when:

| If you have weedy areas without any plants you want to keep, something you could do right now is to cut back the weeds, dump an inch or so of compost (leaf-gro), cover the area with cardboard or landscape fabric, and then a few inches of mulch. In Spring, rake back the mulch and remove the fabric if you used it (the cardboard will have disappeared). That way you’ll be ready to plant new plants without weeds (or at least not as many - some will survive and new ones will come). |

NP. This is a quick and easy way to start. I also have this issue and your post was super helpful. Thank you! Easy weekend project. |
