Any feedback on their early childhood/preschool program? We are low on the waitlist and are deciding between that and our in-bound. Specific feedback on teachers? If we are placed, my wife and I want to make sure the teacher is also a good fit. No previous experience with Montessori but interested enough.
You'll accept because it's better than the in-bounds in the area, other than Seaton. You don't get a choice of teacher.
What's your IB?
Its all moot right now. We are not going to in person school this year.
Is it though? Not PP but how was their distance learning in spring? What is their plan for fall? Communication? |
Lee is great. The administration has been extremely communicative about fall plans. My three year old enjoyed distance learning as much as any kid likes a zoom but as you can imagine most of the asynchronous work was "practical life".... helping around the home etc. They gave suggestions for that was well.
Lee has already assigned classes so I can't imagine you would get a choice of guides (nor should you at Lee or any school).
I know you're looking for a quick answer, OP, but there are lots of threads on this already if you search for "lee" in the search bar. You won't find out your teacher until later. You also might not like how your kid's teacher does DL, but the teacher might do great in an in-person format, so I wouldn't get too bent about that one particular issue this year. Everything's sideways. (And your kid is going to have a new guide in a few years anyway.) Just do what makes sense long-term.
I have been really impressed with the communication from them. Even as a new family, admin has been super responsive and they’ve had online events for us to attend.
We love it there. You can go to your IB next year if it doesn't suit you. They have been pretty good with online learning. We got a chance to move to a school with a better path to middle school but didn't take that because Lee is the best option for my kid right now.
