We send DD to a private preschool that we adore but are thinking we won’t send her in the fall due to high-risk people in our household. We’ve already paid most of the tuition. Has anyone withdrawn their kid from preschool and gotten any tuition back? |
ETA: she is 3 so distance learning is totally useless. |
Perhaps they’d be more willing to give you a refund if you could find someone to take your spot? Where are you OP? I am looking for a spot for a 3 year old in Arlington! |
I’m a preschool teacher who’s not going back. You’re making the right decision. |
Whatever makes you sleep at night. |
I’m considering paying to hold our spot but only sending sporadically until I’m comfortable. You’re not alone. |
We live with my parents (both over 65) and are still sending my son. The school be is attending has very strict protocols — honestly stricter than I think is probably necessary for this age group and we are pretty rigid with social distancing. That coupled with the fact that it is extremely rare for young children to transmit the virus to adults, and we are comfortable moving forward. I think the benefits are outweighing the risks on multiple levels. I’m also concerned about spots drying up next year when everyone comes to the realization that they need childcare and centers everywhere have closed. |
