Unhinged Report of the Day

The vast majority of reports I receive about messages are completely legitimate and are reporting clearly inappropriate posts. I can't say how much I appreciate the users who make the effort to submit those reports. I couldn't run DCUM without your help. But, mixed in with those are reports that are often threatening, abusive, incomprehensible, or completely unhinged. Here's in an example for today.

The poster writes:

"You deleted my comments and locked the room but left the post up. This is racist! Please delete the post or I’ll be sending to my friend who works at NBC. They will they go into further posts that have racist comments. This is ridiculous"

For the life of me I can't figure out what this poster is upset about and, if I deleted a post, I don't remember what it was. Anyway, I look forward to the poster's friend from NBC visiting the website.

LOL, I’m sure NBC is waiting with baited breath for that poster to come forward with their dramatic tale of having their post deleted from DCUM.

I admit, I’m really curious to know what they think was deleted.

I honestly think that people already suffering a modicum of mental health issues have those dials cranked up to 12 during the pandemic. I hope that you feel you can just ignore them and the bizarre declarations they make.

That thread was deleted much earlier. I thought I might have deleted the poster's post from the existing 15 page thread:

But, I don't understand why the poster reported a post that simply referred to the existing thread.

I've seen a lot of issues on DCUM go on to become fodder for the news. I can't decide if it's because we discuss topical issues or because news hounds are on DCUM. Anyway, I guess NBC wasn't interested because the deleted post hasn't shown up on the news yet.
