$30 to see it in Sept! No matter if a subscriber to Disney + or not - so on top of the charge to watch Disney +. They are releasing to theaters on same date as well though.
It's been so long since theaters - I forget cost per tix at an AMC? Guess this is the way of the future, no more theaters, everything runs at home. |
Stop being so dramatic. Theaters will open again once it’s safe. |
| wait.. they are releasing on Disney+ in September. Yay.. can't wait. |
This sounds great to me. $30 is less than the cost of tickets for three people. I don't have to get a babysitter, I can have my own snacks, and I can pause it to pee but not be annoyed about a stranger standing up to leave in the middle. I won't get sick or shot. There are a few big budget films that are probably worth the big screen, but mostly I would love this new normal. |
| $30 is a great price for our family of three as well. Looking forward to it! |
| Still cheaper than if I were to take my 4 kids, and buy snacks at the theater. Can't wait to see it! |
| Crazy Rich Asians! China really is the #1 superpower |
|
So if you pay the $30 can you watch it more than once or is it a one time rental?
Either way, we'll probably do it. |
|
Hope it goes to the drive ins. I'd like to see it there.
|
| I assume it becomes free eventually? |

Why is this so shocking? How you missed all the other releases that were supposed to hit theatres this year and instead are being shown on tv? They all cost this much to stream.
This is the second thread about Mulan. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/901909.page |
| Sounds good to me. Everyone I know was thrilled to pay $20 for Trolls. Some friends even bought a screen and showed it in their backyard for their kids. |
Even before corona I have thought that I wouldn’t mind paying more for a movie to be able to watch it at home versus in the theaters. But it seems like corona is what’s going to make that a reality. We did pay to see trolls world tour so far. I’ll wait and see if Mulan gets good reviews and I may consider doing it as well. It cost almost $100 for my family of 5 to go see a movie in the theater so $30 is still a discount
